Cabcashier is a platform helping taxi organizations to handle all cashiering and fleet management needs using several specialized tools.

Our client's main goal was to make accounting more clear and understandable. The competition between regular taxi companies and services like Uber grew stronger, so he wanted to have a much clearer view of his company's financial state to make some strategic decisions.

The client already had several special taxi fleet managing solutions, so the decision was made to create a custom solution. The goal was to get all financial data from existing solutions, process, and create various specialized reports.

There were several challenges in this project:

Integrate with existing outdated software to get needed financial data.

Help accountants process drivers incoming payments from trips and make this process as easy and fast as possible.

Represent company financial trends in a set of specialized analytical reports.

Solution

Our team provided all the services of the full application lifecycle. To get all needed data from outdated software solutions, we built a custom API connector for one application and used direct Oracle SQL calls to another one - there was no other way.

We provided some accountant-driver business processes modifications to make them better. To make it happen, we created and implemented the trip summary processing functionality. It included all the data (grouped on tabs) relating trip summary - incomes, expenses, lease payments, salary, etc.

The final step of processing led to automatic driver payment checks creation.

Our team provided a set of financial analytical reports to help company management in making strategic decisions.

Cabcashier got very positive feedback from company management. The average time needed to do driver trips processing was decreased by 23%. The average company expenses were decreased by 17%.
